Trees For Change - Friends of AEA  Earth Day Fundraising Event
In honor of Earth Day, 2019, the environmental science team at AEAECS,  and Friends of AEA, is embarking on an environmental cause with Trees for a Change. This organization replants areas in California's National Forests that have been devastated by wildfires. Reforestation in these areas is an important part of saving the landscape from further damage, reestablishing  the ecosystem, and eventually, as the forests mature, battling climate change. Our goal this year, is to sell enough trees to reforest one acre of land. This equals 300 trees. The trees are $15 each and you will receive a card recognizing your contribution. You will learn where the tree is planted during the next planting cycle. Your student will be sent home with information to hand out to your family and community. Purchases can be made via checks to FOAEA or by using the online option:

https://www.treesforachange.com/products/fundraiser-support

Once there, designate our school, fill in your student's name, grade level and how many trees you'd like to purchase. If you are a middle school family who would like to participate in this cause, please do so!

As an added bonus, Trees for a Change donates 40% of the tree sales back to our school.

Online sales will be available until May 3. This is a worthy cause that not only helps restore beauty and ecological balance to California and our planet, but also benefits our school so we can continue being a positive force of change in our world. Please message Miss Shana with any questions or comments at scutler@aeacs.org
