LIVE MUSIC MONTH APPLICATIONS ARE
STILL BEING ACCEPTED
It’s that time of year again to focus
on the gift of music. Student, parent, and community members are welcome
to perform for our lunchtime assemblies on February 8th, and 14th.
Applications are available here:
Live Music Month Application, as well as in the front
office. There are plenty of openings still available for each date.
Please encourage your child to turn in an application to the front office.

features the stories of four young adults with LD/ADHD issues sharing their
journeys to success in work and school, and the strategies they use to manage
their challenges. The screening will be followed by a discussion led by AEA

University: Supporting Your Beginning Writer K-1
February 28th, 6-7:30, Elementary School, Think Tank
Are you interested in learning ways to support your K-1
writer? If so, sign up to attend our "Supporting Your Beginning
Writer" Parent University. Acquire knowledge about the developmental
stages of writing, as well as the writing process. You’ll also learn ways

Community Service Opportunity

on Saturday, March 9th for a
“Food Sorting” volunteer shift from 9AM-11AM, with Feeding San
Diego. We have reserved this time for up to 50 volunteers from AEA, and sign up is
first come first serve. This is great opportunity for our community (ages 6 and

The Rock‘n Run-a-thon is a fun, music-energized day to
celebrate fitness and our school! Students will rock out while they run or walk
the playground/Running Club course with their friends. This is a fun one-day
event that encourages all elementary students to take an active role in
FUNdraising! Students can also earn cool prizes by raising money for AEA’s
Enrichment Programs, like PE, art, music, science and gardening.
